Donna Hewlett
Author
Donna Hewlett has always been drawn to stories and travel. Exploring people, places, and history feeds her imagination. Her first trip abroad was a move to Saudi Arabia, which proved to be an excellent location for traveling to Egypt, Britain, Thailand, and Europe. Later, she accompanied her husband on his teaching trips to China and Singapore. Absorbing the stories from various people and places, Donna uses these experiences as touchstones for her fictional works.
Her academic credentials include a BS in Psychology with a minor in English from Belmont University, an MA in English Language and Literature from Middle Tennessee State University, and an MFA in Writing from the University of Nebraska. Professionally, Donna was an assistant professor and director of the MFA in Creativity program at Bellevue University and worked for The Minot Daily News in Minot, North Dakota.
Donna was born in Detroit, Michigan, and now calls Omaha, Nebraska, home. She loves to read and write, occasionally indulge in dark chocolate, and travel with her husband, Rod, and their two rambunctious corgis in their RV, "The Albatross."
